Dr. Ami Pedahzur
Director, Institutes for Strategic Research

Ami Pedahzur is a professor at the University of Haifa's Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences. He also leads the MA program in Maritime Strategies.

Pedahzur obtained his Ph.D in political science at the University of Haifa. 

From 2005 to 2023, he was a faculty member at the Government Department of The University of Texas at Austin, holding the Ralph W Yarborough Centennial Professorship of Liberal Arts. Since 2023, Pedahzur has served as the Institutes for Strategic Research (ISR ) director.
His research focuses on understanding the interrelation between technology and humans in modern warfare. He also studied the Israeli radical right, terrorism, and counterterrorism.
