Ofir Dayan

Ofir Dayan was born and raised in Maale Shomron, a small community in the Samaria Region of Israel. She was an instructor, Head of Branch, and a Full Time Volunteer for the Betar Youth Movement.
She served as an officer in field positions in the IDF Spokesperson Unit and was awardedby the IDF Head of Operation for her role during Operation Protective Edge. Throughout the operation she served as the spokesperson of the 188th Brigade (armored corps), accompanying them at the Gaza border.
Ofir holds an MIA in International Security Policy and a BA in International Relations from Columbia University. At the university, she spearheaded the fight for Israel as the President of Students Supporting Israel.
Currently, she writes a column for Makor Rishon and is working for the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) while also volunteering with Comeback, an NGO assisting formerly incarcerated people, Beyadenu for the Temple Mount and other causes. Ofir is also a frequent commentator and panelist on radio and television shows in Israel.
